Harvey Milk - A Small Turn Of Human Kindness

Artist: Harvey Milk
Album: A Small Turn Of Human Kindness
Year: 2010
Genre(s): Sludge, doom, experimental

Harvey Milk has been weirding out the sludge/doom scene for years now, and their most recent album (though their shortest) is no exception to the quality work they've put out over the last almost twenty years. A Small Turn Of Human Kindness flows as though it were just one song divided into seven parts, and features some awesome sections and great lyrics. I would advise any Harvey Milk fan to get this, and anybody looking to get into Harvey Milk to check it out as well.

Get this.

Jim Noir - Tower of Love

Artist - Jim Noir
Album - Tower of Love
Year - 2006
Genre(s) - Indie

I found out about Jim Noir (or Alan Roberts) through the video game Little Big Planet. His song "My Patch" was included with the game, and its one of the catchiest songs I have ever heard. This whole album is filled with great songs and is worth checking out.

Olga Neuwirth - Clinamen/Nodus And Construction In Space

Artist: Olga Neuwirth
Album: Clinamen/Nodus And Construction In Space
Year: 2003
Genre(s): Avant-garde, classical, experimental

Olga Neuwirth is one of not very many classical composers today making anything decent that isn't part of a film score. Clinamen/Nodus and Construction In Space are two highly experimental and highly unsettling pieces created with fantastic musicianship and talent. Olga Neuwirth's take on classical music is utterly gutwrenching, but I mean this in the best possible way. This is incredibly weird stuff that sounds like she took a lot of influence from Penderecki and Cage alike.

The Music Of Friedrich Nietzsche

Artist: Friedrich Nietzsche
Album: The Music Of Friedrich Nietzsche
Genre(s): Classical, romantic

Friedrich Nietzsche was one of the greatest philosophers of all time, but it is a much lesser-known fact that he was also a pretty incredible composer (though this explains his relationship with composer Richard Wagner). I will be honest here: this is just a random collection I grabbed off Soulseek and I am not even sure which musicians are performing Nietzsche's pieces here. What I can tell you is that it offers a fascinating insight into Nietzsche expressing himself with music instead of words. This is highly recommended.

Kiss The Anus Of A Black Cat - The E.P.s

Artist: Kiss The Anus Of A Black Cat
Genre(s): Neofolk, apocalyptic folk, folk, experimental

Again, sorry for the long delay between posts here. I'm going to start to make up for it with what I think is a really cool post right here. I uploaded Kiss The Anus Of A Black Cat's only full-length earlier, and now here are their three E.P.s. If you're a fan of Death In June or Current 93 or any of that type of stuff, this will be right up your alley. And if you're curious what's up with them lately, I guess they're working on a new full-length, which hopefully will be complete soon. You know I'll be putting that up when it is, so not to worry.

Sorry

Has it really been two weeks since anyone last posted? Jeez. We've all been really busy and forgetful. I apologize. Don't worry, though, we'll put up more very shortly. I have a few ideas for some awesome stuff to put up, so our few followers can perhaps check it out.
