Rubberoom - Architechnology

Artist: Rubberoom
Album: Architechnology
Year: 1999
Genre(s): Hip hop, rap

Rubberoom busts out some of the most intense and oppressive beats I've ever heard, rivaled only by Techno Animal for me (in fact, I first heard these guys guest on a Techno Animal track). If you like hip hop and/or you like your music fucking intense, check this out!

Richard Thompson - Rumor And Sigh

Artist: Richard Thompson
Album: Rumor And Sigh
Year: 1991
Genre(s): Folk, rock, singer-songwriter

One of the most underrated names in the past fifty years of folk and rock music alike, Richard Thompson is someone you should get to know. Originally playing guitar in Fairport Convention, he went on to have an extensive solo career (of which this album may very well be the highlight). Highly, highly recommended. Seriously, if 1952 Vincent Black Lightning doesn't move you or at least strike you as a great song, I don't think you're a human being.

Plague Bringer - Burning Inside (Featuring Chris Connelly)

Artist: Plague Bringer
Album: Burning Inside (Featuring Chris Connelly)
Year: 2010
Genre(s): Grindcore, industrial, metal

This is Plague Bringer covering Ministry's Burning Inside with Chris Connelly (Ministry, Pigface, Revolting Cocks, and a great solo career). Need I say more? Limited to 100 copies and the packaging is absolutely sick, so if you can get your hands on it, I'd recommend buying one.

I came back and updated this in 2011 for the year and art, thanks to TheeDr on the Last.fm page who gave me the info for this! Anyway, this is the only Dead Peasant Insurance release I've heard, but they do some very solid and cool noise jams. Three untitled tracks, about an hour long.

Play loud.

Maggot Twat is a comedy metal band from the suburbs of Chicago, IL consisting of a guitarist, a bassist, and a puppet drummer (though in reality their drums are programmed). Though a comedy group, they actually make some really good metal and put on an incredible live show. This is their debut.

Obligatory introductory post

This blog is intended to expose people to music they might not otherwise be exposed to. We do not aim to focus on any one genre, and rather will share anything at all that we find enjoyable in the underground scene. Please try to support these artists and buy their releases and merchandise and see them live. If you were working this hard to make music, you'd want support, too. If any artist or label wants music removed, just tell us and we will make it of our highest priority to remove any links/uploaded music and comply.

Now that that's out of the way, our team currently consists of two members, DW and KB. We hope you enjoy the posts to come.
