Artist: Maps & Atlases
Genre(s): Math rock
One of the first posts on the Big Dipster was Perch Patchwork, the most recent Maps & Atlases album. If that was your first exposure, you REALLY need to get the E.P.s. Bird Barnyard is all right and shows an interesting and very different start. Trees, Swallows, Houses is kind of like Minus The Bear on crack, angel dust, acid, and ecstacy. You And Me And The Mountain calms it down a bit, but contains some great songwriting and is a good precursor to Perch Patchwork. Check these out.
