Sunn O))) - Black One

Artist: Sunn O)))
Album: Black One
Year: 2005
Genre(s): Drone, doom, black metal

Sunn O)))'s sixth album delves a bit into experimenting with black metal, including a few "covers." I've provided the special two-disc version (which is hard-to-find, if you're actually looking to buy this; usually only the first disc is available). This is one of their best albums; get it.

Sunn O))) - ØØ Void and Sunn O))) Meets Nurse With Wound - The Iron Soul Of Nothing

Artist: Sunn O))) and Sunn O))) Meets Nurse With Wound
Album: ØØ Void and The Iron Soul Of Nothing
Year: 2000 and 2008
Genre(s): Drone, dark ambient, experimental

Sunn O)))'s classic ØØ Void was reissued by Daymare in 2008 with the previously unreleased The Iron Soul Of Nothing as disc two, a collaboration, if that's even what it is, with Nurse With Wound, though I have the feeling it may be more in the nature of a remix album. Nonetheless, this is great stuff; the NWW collab in my opinion is better than the original album (particularly Ash On The Trees), and these artists should perhaps work together more often in the future. Enjoy.
